The Sealion 7 arrives in 82 markets this summer. Standard kit includes 540 km WLTP range, DiPilot v5 advanced driver assistance, and Blade Battery 2.0 with an 8-minute fast-charge profile. Pricing starts at $44,990 in the US with European and APAC rollouts following in Q3. Sealion 7 replaces the outgoing Tang L as BYD's mid-size crossover for international markets.

BYD's premium Denza brand began European deliveries of the Z9GT shooting-brake. The flagship delivers 590 kW combined output, 800 V fast-charging, and a CLTC-rated 740 km range. Launch markets include Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and the Nordics. Pricing starts at €68,500 before options.

An extension of the 2024 strategic agreement commits BYD to supply Uber with 100,000 additional electric vehicles — primarily Dolphin Plus, Atto 3 Evo, and Seal 6 — across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines over the next 18 months. The agreement includes a shared service-network commitment and bulk-purchase financing for local driver-partners.

The Rayong, Thailand assembly line rolled its first production Atto 3 RHD this week. Capacity is set at 150,000 units per year at start, earmarked for ASEAN, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Local-content exceeds 40% at launch with a four-year plan to reach 60%.

BYD Automotive Group reported fourth-quarter revenue of $22.4 billion, exceeding analyst consensus by 4.2%. Operating margin expanded to 12.3%, up 180 basis points year-over-year, driven by scale in European manufacturing and improved battery cell economics. Full-year deliveries reached 3.84 million vehicles. Management raised FY26 revenue guidance to the $96-$102 billion range.

Q4 2025 total deliveries came in at 1,280,400 units, a 31% YoY rise. Fully-electric (BEV) mix reached 62% for the quarter, up from 54% a year prior. Overseas volume crossed the 300,000-unit-per-quarter threshold for the first time, led by EU, LatAm, and Middle-East growth.

BYD today began volume production of Blade Battery 2.0 at the Shenzhen gigafactory. The second-generation cell delivers an 8-minute charge to 80% state-of-charge under standard conditions, retains the brand's zero-thermal-runaway safety profile, and improves lifetime to 1.2 million kilometers. Rollout begins with Seal GT and Yangwang U8, extending to the full passenger lineup through Q3.

The second-generation Blade cell received Type Approval under the EU Battery Regulation 2023/1542, covering carbon-footprint disclosure, recycled-content thresholds, and the upcoming battery-passport requirement. BYD is the first Chinese manufacturer to complete the process for a high-volume traction cell family.

Following a record November delivery month, BYD raised its fiscal-year 2026 revenue guidance by 6% and declared an interim cash dividend of $0.42 per share payable January 20. Management cited stronger-than-expected European demand, stabilising battery input costs, and accelerating DiPilot take-rates as the three pillars of the revised outlook.

A closed-loop lithium-carbonate recovery line at the Huizhou recycling hub received ISO 14021 self-declaration audit. Recovery yield exceeds 96% for lithium and 99% for cobalt and nickel from end-of-life Blade cells. Output feeds directly back into new-cell production at Shenzhen and Hungary.

BYD's premium Yangwang brand revealed the U8 Performance Edition at a closed-door event in Munich. The quad-motor flagship produces 1,200 horsepower, completes zero-to-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and delivers a certified 750 km WLTP range. Production is capped at 2,600 units globally. Deliveries open in Q2 2026 across six launch markets including the United States, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates.

Cumulative new-energy-vehicle production crossed 10 million units at an employee ceremony in Shenzhen. The milestone was reached 12 years after the launch of the F3DM plug-in hybrid in 2008. Chairman Wang Chuanfu announced the 20-million-unit target for late 2027.

BYD's DiPilot v5 advanced driver-assistance suite received regulatory certification for hands-off highway operation in 14 markets, including Germany, France, Japan, and South Korea. The system combines 11 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, and a 254 TOPS compute stack to deliver lane-keep, adaptive cruise, and supervised lane-change at speeds up to 130 km/h.

The BYD M6 went on sale in Japan in an all-electric 7-seat configuration targeting ride-hailing and last-mile logistics. Tokyo Metropolitan Taxi Association took the first 2,400-unit allocation under a framework purchase agreement signed earlier this year.

BYD and Volvo Cars signed a ten-year strategic partnership to co-develop a shared electric-vehicle powertrain platform targeting mid-size sedans and crossovers. The alliance combines BYD's Blade Battery technology with Volvo's vehicle-safety architecture. First co-developed vehicles are expected in showrooms in calendar-year 2028. Financial terms were not disclosed.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between BYD and Shell to co-develop 1.2 MW heavy-duty charging infrastructure at strategic European freight corridors. The first eight sites are scheduled to come online by mid-2026, coinciding with the commercial launch of BYD's Class 8 tractor.

The Dolphin Plus, BYD's entry-level compact electric vehicle, launched in 11 additional markets this quarter with a starting price of $19,990. The model delivers 420 km WLTP range, supports 80 kW DC fast charging, and ships with a six-year / 150,000 km vehicle warranty. Pre-orders opened online with deliveries beginning in July through BYD's direct-to-consumer channel.

BYD announced a major dealer-network expansion across Latin America in partnership with Grupo Mobiltec. The agreement brings 180 new authorised points of sale online across Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Peru by the end of 2025. The rollout triples BYD's retail presence in the region and includes factory-certified service capacity for the full passenger lineup.

A pilot in Utrecht, Netherlands connected 1,200 customer-owned Atto 3 and Dolphin units to a municipal V2G grid operator. Over the six-month trial, the aggregated fleet returned 2.4 GWh to the grid at peak-demand windows, generating €1.8 million in credits for participating owners.

BYD's first European passenger-vehicle manufacturing facility opened today in Szeged, Hungary. The plant has an initial capacity of 150,000 vehicles per year, ramping to 300,000 by 2027. The investment totals €1.4 billion and is expected to create 3,200 direct jobs and an additional 8,500 across the regional supply chain. First vehicles roll off the line this quarter.

Following the FY24 results beat, the board approved a full-year cash dividend of $0.68 per share, up 46% versus the prior year. The ex-dividend date is 2025-02-05 with payment on 2025-02-28. The board also approved a $2 billion share-repurchase authorisation to be executed over the next 18 months.

The Yangwang U9 Track Edition was unveiled at the Guangzhou auto show, producing 1,300 horsepower from four in-wheel motors with torque-vectoring active suspension. Production is limited to 99 units globally. Sticker price is $1.68 million. All units were allocated within 72 hours of the reveal.

BYD verified operational net-zero emissions across 38 of its 41 global production facilities, ahead of its 2030 target for the full network. The achievement was validated by third-party audit under the ISO 14064-1 standard. Renewable electricity now accounts for 100% of consumption at certified sites, sourced through a combination of on-site solar, power-purchase agreements, and utility green tariffs.

French mobility operator BlaBlaCar signed a framework agreement for 15,000 BYD Dolphin Plus vehicles over 24 months. The deal anchors a new corporate-mobility subsidiary targeting urban rider-share in France, Spain, Italy, and Portugal. Deliveries begin in Q4 2024.

The repurposed Ford Camaçari facility reopened as a BYD assembly plant with 150,000 vehicle/year installed capacity. The $620 million retooling preserved 4,000 local jobs that had been at risk after Ford's 2021 exit from Brazilian production.
